Diploma in chemistry (Diplomchemiker); Dr. rer. nat. (chemistry), University of Marburg, Germany.

Certified Toxicologist (Fachtoxikologe DGPT) since 1983. 
EUROTOX Registered Toxicologist. 

> 10 years experimental basic research in organic chemistry,
biochemistry and analytics of the metabolism of neurotransmitters,
drug metabolism and mechanisms of chemical carcinogenesis.

> 2.5 years scientific counselling of the government in the staff of the German Advisory Council on the Environment.
Major contributions to several large expert reports of the Advisory Council. 

> 20 years experience in the toxicological evaluation of chemicals and chemical exposures; leading functions ("Direktor und Professor")
in the environmental and industrial inspectorate of the State of Lower Saxony, Germany. 

> 15 years GLP inspector of the State of Lower Saxony, Germany. International experience and GLP inspections.
Participation in OECD Consensus Workshops on Good Laboratory Practice. Contributions to the OECD Consensus documents Field Studies and Short Term Tests.
