1.2   Hazardous substances and exposures in work places

  • Advisory service and support in the frame of the German Hazardous Chemicals Ordinance: toxicological evaluation of hazardous substances, preparations/mixtures, exposures to hazardous substances or mixtures; advisory service and support with respect to the derivation of limit values in work places or other criteria on the protection of workers health

1.3   Plant and technical process safety

  • Toxicological issues of the Federal Pollution Control Act: toxicological assessment of chemical emissions and pollution loads of chemical substances during routine plant operation or in the frame of planning-approval procedures.
  • Toxicological assessment of major accident scenarios or models in the frame of land-use planning, toxicological evaluation of major accidental releases of toxic chemicals

1.4   Chemical substances in the environment 

  • Planning, monitoring and evaluation of experimental studies on the behaviour and fate of chemical substances in the environment. 
  • Ecotoxicological evaluation of releases of substances into the environment and of the pollution load of environmental media according to the current European and national legislation
