Welcome
LiCoTox is an independent consulting firm located in the Hannover region, Germany, and your partner for complex toxicological issues in risk assessment of chemical substances. Dr. Lilienblum is a toxicologist (Fachtoxikologe DGPT) since 1983 and also a EUROTOX Registered Toxicologist. More than 25 years of professional regulatory experience in the evaluation of human and experimental data and the planning of new experimental studies inure to the benefit of our clients. Particular experience exists in the assessment of CMR (carcinogenicity, mutagenicity or reproductive toxicity) as well as sensitizing properties of substances.
Toxicological expertise and experience is required in many areas of modern regulation of substances: literature search, evaluation of existing data from experimental or epidemiological studies or case reports; planning, performance and evaluation of new experimental studies. All these efforts are in particular needed regarding a regulatory framework of laws, other regulatory provisions and technical standards or guidelines with respect to the intended area of application or use of substances.
Simple toxicological issues are understandable to most people. However, if the toxicological data of a chemical substance is difficult and complex, the information can often be judged only by experienced experts in a scientifically sound manner. As advisors, we consider the task important to explain possible risk issues of chemical substances to clients and citizens understandably, in particular when the issues are difficult, i.e. in a sense of good risk communication.
